Since new, this vehicle has done nothing but leasurly back-woods driving. $40Miles round trip to work, no stop and go, and the few trips we took with it were no more that 350 miles one way. V6 Premier, about 86k miles. It started with a shudder during acceleration from a stop. Basically it does it at some point between shifting out of 1st and into 2nd. It's not directly linked to that shift point, just that the shudder happens at the speed the car is going during this shift. This^^^^ plus, a transmission shudder (if it is the actual trans) can be attributed to fluid that needs to be replaced, a TCC (Torque Converter Clutch) solenoid going bad, or the TCC valve on the valve body wearing out. The easiest is, when was the last time the trans fluid was changed? .
